Gasworks Arts Park is thrilled to present their Winter Kids School Holiday program, featuring premier theatre performance, Wombat Stew.
Held Thursday 3 to Friday 4 July, Wombat Stew is a joyful adaptation of the classic children’s book, now celebrating 30 years in print. Told by a cast of six multi-talented performers, Wombat Stew combines story-telling, mime,music,danceandpuppetry to tell the tale of this quintessentially Australian literary phenomenon.
Wombat Stew is just one of many activities for kids during the winter school holiday program. This year’s program also features hands-on workshops including an advanced Stop Motion Animation course, held over four days with award-winning short filmmaker, Alex Machin; learn to cook delicious Bento Boxes in Junior Chef; release your inner artist with quirky art classes, Wombats and Kangaroos and The Art of Winter; acquire strategies, skills and tips for chess in Play Chess Like a Champ!; and for budding circus artists or magicians, Join the Circus! and The Australian School of Magic are back by popular demand.
